Having to make choices that inconvenience someone is never fun, but it is a necessary part of designing for the internet. In formulating the guidelines for Sparklenet sites, care was given to try and accommodate the greatest number of people while providing the best quality- to-speed ratio possible. Below are our guidelines and the reasons we made them.

SNN stands for Sparklenet Network. All of the sites that carry a small in one corner of their homepage were designed using the following criteria and are best viewed under these circumstances:

• The sites are designed for an 800 x 600 monitor resolution.

• A minimum 28.8 bps modem recommended.
