Tips for viewing the Sparklenet sites

We have optimized this site to display fine art images for what we believe to be the greatest number viewers today. If you are experiencing problems viewing this site, please read on.

Navigation

  • Unless otherwise instructed, clicking on a company or organization logo will generally replace your current page with the home page of that company or organization. This will preserve your current session history.

  • Clicking on a "return to home page" link will generally close the current window revealing the home page which has remained in the background. This eliminates download times for graphics-loaded home pages.

Browsers

  • The primary browser used for developing this site was Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.x. It was also tested on Netscape's Communicator 4.x and was found to be acceptably stable. All features on this site should also be compatible with version 3 of these programs.

This site is best viewed at 800 x 600 with 16 bit color.

Higher resolutions, such as 1024 x 768, will make the images too small for best viewing. Lower resolutions, such as 640 x 480, will cut off images and create scrollbars that will prevent you from seeing the image in its entirety.

  • If you have a Macintosh, go to the Apple Menu and choose "Control Panels>Monitors and Sound." Click on the monitor tab. Select a color depth of "thousands." Select a resolution of "800 x 600."

  • If you have a Windows 95 machine, right-click on the desktop and select "Properties." Then select "Settings." In the color palette, select "High Color." In "Desktop Area," select "800 x 600".

This site is best viewed on the IBM platform.

Macintosh monitors are brighter than PC monitors.

  • If you have a Mac and have an Adobe Gamma control panel or know hot to otherwise calibrate your monitor, you can change its brightness setting to a gamma of 2.2, the standard PC default.

  • If you have a Mac can't change the gamma of your monitor, please be aware that the colors of the images you are seeing are less intense than those of the original images.
