Artists
understand that their art reflects the culture in which it is
created. As our region moves forward into the future with and
through the creation of new artwork, The Spartanburg County Museum
of Art is seeking ways to remind area artists of the rich history
that is a part of their creative foundation.

The
Lawson's Fork Creek Headwaters
Project
- As part of a grant from the National Endowment for the
Arts, The Lawson's Fork Creek Project will include information
on our native American history, the local water cycle, the
birth of the textile industry, the plants and animals that
live among us, and much more. Additionally, it will include
artwork and creative writing inspired by this stream, and
we invite your school to create its own gallery of river-inspired
work that can become a part of this site.
