This painting is of buildings on North Church across from the Time Shop, of which Mr. Claude Cudd was the proprietor for many years. The building at the far left is at the northwest corner of Church and Main Streets.

In 1953 Buchanan accompanied Frank Coleman to Mexico when Coleman received a Mexican government Fellowship to study Art and Archaeology.
