Husband Carlos Roland Moseley was killed in an accident, leaving
her with three children, aged 16 months to twelve years; one of
these children was son Carlos, a pianist, and former director of
the New York Philharmonic.

Roosevelt appointed her Postmaster of Spartanburg, a post she held
until her recent retirement.

9th generation American, she received a Certificate of Merit from
the Council of the Institute of American Genealogy for her research.

Her
collection of 13,000 stereopticon slides now form the basic collection
of the Oliver Wendell Holmes Stereoscopic research Library in Pennsylvania.
