Bridge (Georgia Series). Said to have been painted the night the family was evicted from their home, Cottage Hill. The strong shadows and angles created by the backlit bridge were unusual techniques for Couper. The crooked telephone poles appear elsewhere in her work. see painting “Train Depot” below |
